Leon LouderLeon Louder

Leon Louder's take on house music was once described as sounding "like Herbert Channeling Mood 2 Swing. " Take a listen to some any of his 10 releases from 2003 to the present and it's easy to see why: Quirks and details abound but are fused with the directness and warmth of straight-up house - a combination not often found in dance music today. Counting Mark Farina, Heather, ECB, Fred Everything, and Swirl People among his fans and having mastered a DJing style that is consistent with his varied and colourful approach to production, Leon is definitely one to watch as his sound continues to evolve.

FraidSoFraidSo

FraidSo are Manchester based DJs/producers also known as Dan McGlynn and Lee Daley. The pair were originally known well locally for their own night "Afterhours" which brought together the bedphobic and headstrong every week, to get down and dance until sunrise to great deep house music. In July 2004, after three successful years, the party was closed by local officials, who couldn't quite understand the all night party ethos!

Since then, the pair have been concentrating on replicating those crazy nights into their productions and DJ sets. Their first release, The Corn Smugglers EP, came out at the end of August 2005 on the highly respected underground house label, Greenhouse Recordings and has been going strong since then. It got plays worldwide from many of their hero's!

Since that release, they have had a string of remix projects including a remix of fellow Greenhouse artist Lee Mortimer's Flexy Beast" forthcoming on a remixes release from Greenhouse together with Bryan Jones' remix of their own Holding On, which is already causing a massive stir on the dancefloors and has become a very eagerly awaited release. Mid June 2006 sees the release of their remix of Pete Dafeet's "Love Undercover" on Lost My Dog Records which sits among some very talented company, namely Demarkus Lewis and Rhythm Plate.

They have been working hard throughout 2006 and, as well as another EP on Greenhouse, have some surprises coming on some great labels of the moment. They have also recently finished a very interesting collaboration project with rising star Rich Sutcliffe of Robsoul Recordings.

FraidSo's sound of skippy beats, looped up jazzy riffs and killer basslines has won them some excellent gigs over past months and they have recently been found behind the decks in some of the finest clubs in the UK and abroad playing with the likes of Justin Long, Joey Youngman, The Littlemen, Inland Knights, Yousef, JT Donaldson, Miss Honey Dijon, Brett Johnson and Rhythm Plate.
