Eddie Leader hails from Huddersfield in the North of England, from where he runs the successful Hudd Traxx label with his fellow members of Slum Science.  Over the past couple of years Eddie has begun to release more solo material for some of the best labels around, including Jackin Tracks and Robsoul, and has collaborated with the likes of Jason Hodges.

2008 has also seen Eddie working closely with Hector Moralez, the pair collaborating on projects and also swapping remixes for their respective labels Hudd Traxx and Minority Music.

Hector Moralez has been releasing music since 2002 for labels including Robsoul, Detour, Music For Freaks and Vista. His link to Robsoul and Phil Weeks generated the highly successful Fries & Bridges partnership, and he's forged other collaborations under the names The Block Committee and Sugafoot alongside Chris Carrier, Cubase Dan and Tony Hewitt.

B2. Player Piano (FraidSo Work That Remix)

First up we would like to thank everyone that purchased Imprint Music 001 - "The Tackle Truck EP". The release was received extremely well and charted at #1 in Juno's Deep house and overall charts respectively, which was fantastic. For anyone that missed the first release a repress is in the works, and will be available at Juno / Primal etc.

For the next release, The Cabin Fever EP, we are overjoyed to welcome Leon Louder to the Imprint stable.

Montreal based producer Leon Louder has been making house records since 2003 when he took a minor risk and started up a small imprint called Melted Dubs. His first record garnered interest from key players like Fred Everything and Inland Knights. Leon's first release, with Rob Brown, was signed to OAE in 2003 and was later licensed to OM for a "San Francisco Sessions" mix by JT Donaldson and Lance Desardi. Leon sees himself as part of a growing number of new-school house producers who are combining the technical sophistication and trickery of 21st century dance music with the unpretentious flow and soul of mid nineties Chicago house.

His tracks regularly receive plays from House heavyweights such as: Mateo & Matos, Fred Everything, Mark Farina and DJ Heather to name but a few.

On remix duty for this we have drafted in friends and rising stars amongst the house music underground, FraidSo. Lee Daley and Dan Mcglynn have an ever growing discography with releases on Greenhouse, Tastie Music, Streetlight and Lost My Dog already under their belt. Their work has been remixed by the likes of Miles Maeda, Bryan Jones and Craig Hamilton and their releases have gained big support from artists such as Mark Farina, Derrick Carter and James Curd, amongst others.

A1. JT Donaldson - A Different Era
B1. Eddie Leader - Superstitious feat The Sax Machine

First up on Manchester’s new record label, Imprint Music, we have an excellent 2 tracker which has something for everyone.

JT Donaldson can do no wrong in the world of house at the moment and delivers ‘A Different Era’; which is just JT through and through. Here we see him throw down an essential deep n’ jazzy track which proves why he is still one of the best. With a bouncy bassline that keeps the whole track bumping all the way through, and with those classy spoken word vocals typical of JT, this is sure to be one that any pro dj will be gagging to have in their box.

On the flip we have ‘Superstitious’ produced by Eddie Leader. Eddie has been causing quite a stir over the past few years, most of you will know him as one part of Slum Science and owner of Hudd Traxx. Now putting out solo tracks, Eddie has come up with a four to the floor track with a sax piece (played by Darren ‘The Sax Machine’ Grainger) that is simply outstanding. Thumping beats with some skippy percussion lay down the main beats, whilst the sax just takes off and owns the track. This is certainly going to be a floor killer and will very shortly be finding its way into most peoples charts.
